Have 999 Fools Coins. (You cannot use a Pet Token to skip this evo condition.)
Description
He is just a fool and likes to fool around, especially with fools coins.
Fool was added as part of April Fool's Day in 2022. When he arrived, he would fake-out the player by imitating a Blue Screen of Death, and even calling Hyperion to warn the player of a "game breaking" bug.
Rumors say he still returns to his antics every year on the 1st of April. Don't let him fool you though, it's all in good fun.
In dungeons, Fool can confuse the enemies he attacks (more element = higher chance to confuse the enemy. This does not work as a Mage.) The formula is (((attacker elements/2) / defender elements) - 0.3)*100% so you need to have more than 60% of the enemy's elements, or else the chance to confuse is 0%.
For example, if the enemy total elements are 1000, and Fool has 800 total elements, you have a 10% chance to confuse. At 2600 you would have a 100% chance. Note, however, you have up to 3 attacks per turn and confuse lasts 2 turns, so in reality you have 6 chances.
How to Unlock
Step 1
Happy April Fools!
Hint:
You need to be sure to use his true name! This goes in both cases!
Answer:
Go to Settings and use the Input Code "Aprils Fool" (not case sensitive). You can do this multiple times until you have received 100 Fools Coins.
Step 2
Obtain the Fool Pet
Hint:
Where could you use these fools coins? I wonder how many you need?
Answer:
Take the Fools Coins to Newbie Dungeon and fight the boss there (It doesn't matter how many you bring with your team as long as you have 100 in your inventory). The boss is quite strong and you will likely need a team capable of running upper D3 difficulties with Mimics (DL 160+).
Note: At least one pet on your team needs to be named "Aprils Fool" otherwise you will fight an optional, incredibly powerful, version of this boss instead of the regular one.
As for team composition, the boss can inflict Confuse at a rate of (((attacker elements/2) / defender elements) - 0.3)*100% where Fool is attacker and your pet being targeted is the defender. This causes your pets to attack fellow pets or even heal the boss. To help protect against this, bringing Assassins as your main damage-dealers is a good choice, since Mages can target several of your pets at once if they are confused instead of just single-targetting like Assassins. If using a Mage as your main DPS, back it up with 2 or 3 Defenders to avoid it getting hit with Confuse. While you can bring Supporters, it is strongly recommended to use potions instead. Fool can confuse your Supporters, healing himself in the process. Bring at least two Defenders to draw in more attacks/confuse from the boss, allowing your damage dealers to do their job uninhibited. The first fight, Fool has 4,000 total Elements (spread evenly across all 4 types). Elephant's Burn effect does not work in this fight or the optional ??? fight detailed later in this page.
Example:
This is with no Dojo bonuses. Note the use of all Assassins and Defenders, to avoid the riskiness that can come with Supporters and Mages. Potions used for healing.
Step 3
Evo
Answer:
To get enough Fools Coins for the evo, you will need to fight the boss many times as he will keep dropping the coins. This can be made considerably faster with rogues and lucky talismans but be aware that the boss gets increasingly harder the more coins you have. Roughly 10x stronger in the end as it was for the unlock! The player Havixx gathered data from his time spent with this pet. The records start around 500 coins, but can be a good guideline nonetheless for those going for evolving Fool. Fool Fight Records
The exact stat calculation can be found below, where "count" is the number of Fool Coins currently owned.
Evo Example Team
For this team, all of your damage will be coming from Witch with 185k growth. You will notice this team also allows you to continue using 2 rogues all the way to the final fight, making getting there a bit faster. Compared to the detailed logs from Havixx in the above spreadsheet, this team utilizes buffs from Dojo so can be done with lower levels.
This compiled data is showing a 980 coin fight
???
There is a secret version of the boss that you may accidentally encounter if you forget to name one of your pets going to the dungeon in a previous step "Aprils Fool". Fighting this boss will be very difficult, currently being one of the most difficult fight in the game, but will unlock a permanent item known as the Fool's Card that multiplies your Battle stat by 7007% (except while in UAC).
If you would like to fight this boss simply do not rename one of your pets to Aprils Fool, and you can encounter this harder version named "???".

??? Example Team
The big thing with this team you want to aim for is a Mimic with 25k+ Attack and 2.4x damage multi from Mimic Points, and a speedy Taco with its highest element being Fire, to benefit from the damage boost it gives. Taco will target the pet with the highest Attack (in this case it should be your Mimic) but needs to have enough Speed to act before Mimic, so gear accordingly.
The below team example was without any buffs from Dojo, so the necessary stats can be reached before these DLs with enough Dojo bonuses.
